Privacy Policy
Ghar Tak by Shivhari ("we") is a food ordering and home delivery app for Bikramganj, Bihar, India. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name and email address from your Google account when you sign in with Google (or a username for staff accounts).
- Delivery details: your mobile number and delivery address, which you enter in your profile.
- Location: only when you tap Use current location, the app reads your phone's location to fill in your address. It is saved with your address. We never track your location in the background.
- Orders: what you order, prices, order status, and how you pay (UPI or cash on delivery). For UPI orders we store the amount you tell us you paid.
- App install id: a random id the app creates when it is installed on your phone. It is not linked to your phone's hardware and we use it only to stop misuse of referral rewards.
- Referrals and wallet: your referral code, who you referred or who referred you, and your Ghar Tak wallet credit and its history.
- Technical data: our servers keep standard logs (such as IP address and time of a request) for security and troubleshooting.
- Photos: photos of shops and dishes are uploaded only by our admin, from the phone's camera or gallery, and are shown to all users of the app. We remove location and other hidden details from photos before storing them. Customers' photos are not collected.
We do not collect or store bank, card or UPI PIN details. UPI payments happen entirely in your own UPI app.
How we use it
- To take, prepare and deliver your orders, and to contact you about them.
- To confirm your UPI payments.
- To keep your account secure and the app working.
- To give wallet credit and referral rewards, and to check that a referral code is used only once per person (by comparing email, mobile number and app install id with other accounts).
Sharing
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. Your order and delivery details are seen only by the shop staff who handle your order. We use Google services to run the app: Google Cloud (servers and database, India region) and Google Sign-In. They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. We may disclose information if required by law.
Storage and security
Data is stored on Google Cloud servers in India and sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your name, email, phone, address and location are removed. Order records (items and amounts, without your personal details) are kept for the shop's accounting. To prevent misuse of referral rewards we keep a coded fingerprint of your email, mobile number and app install id: it cannot be turned back into them, but lets us recognise them if they are used again.
Your choices
- View and change your details in the app (profile button, top right).
- Delete your account in the app, or ask us to — see how to delete your account.
- Location access can be turned off any time in your phone's settings.
Children
The app is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and its effective date.
